SO! It's officially my Christmas Break. I'm at home. Just relaxing. Procrastinating about putting up the tree and decorating the house. I've had a few dates. Passing my classes (so far). Life is good. :) I've even restarted my gluten-lactose-banana-allergy-free diet again. I NEED CHEERLEADERS. I'm so bad at avoiding my allergens (except bananas because they'll kill me). But especially at the Christmas season, I need people to keep me on track. There are so many pies and cookies and warm breads and chocolate milk and other goodies that I shouldn't be eating. But "with a little help from my friends" I'll be as good as gold! Have a wonderful, Merry Christmas everybody! |

It’s REALLY hard for someone like me to “eat healthy.” I hate how expensive gluten free products are in this society, it’s truly unnecessary. I’m mean really 10.99 for a box of Gluten Free Bisquik? CRAZY! All I want is to eat food…. That is good…. AND gluten free….. (oh yeah… and inexpensive). Is that really so much to ask?
Aside from all that nonsense… I ALMOST DIED TONIGHT! I’m allergic to bananas and the allergy has grown from a moderate discomfort to a severe possible death experience. WELL, we had peanut butter sandwiches at our dining commons tonight and my roommate was like “Oh they’re really good! You should try one!” We asked if there was only peanut butter on it and the nice lady said yes. So I took one. We sat down at our usual table and I began to eat my mashed potatoes while my roommate ate her peanut butter sandwich. A weird look crossed her face and she suddenly took my sandwich saying “Don’t eat this, Aria. There is banana in it.” She moved my sandwich to the other side of the table and thus SAVED MY LIFE! She’s awesome, that girl. Too bad she abandons me every Wednesday. |
