"Will You Beheaded My Valentine?"I find it very odd that we based a holiday (and take it so seriously!) off of a priest named St. Valentine who had been martyred for his religion/faith. It kinda' puts it into perspective of how Christians are supposed to act on this "special" day. A day that has been turned into love and candy, Christians are supposed to express this love not only to their special someone everyday, but to everyone every day. It can be hard when people make you angry or when they do terrible things. But God told us the He loves us regardless of the bad things we do, so we need to do the same. It's hard, I get that, but we can still try! That famous song, "Let It Snow," could never be more true here at school. It snowed last week. A lot! Like almost 2 feet. Then it took a bit of a break for two days. You would think that that is enough time for some of the snow to melt but NOOOOOO it was constantly cold to the point where when it rained on the second snow-less day, it froze overnight causing horrible ice patches. THEN TODAY it began snowing again. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the snow... But when you have to drag your feet through two or three feet of it every day because the plows suck, it gets pretty tiresome! Because of the cold and the blustering snow, I decided to treat myself to my special stock of coffee. It's called (surprise, surprise!) "Let It Snow" and it is a delicately mint flavored chocolate coffee. :) Just the thing for this cold day! |
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
John 13:34-35
