"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another."
Loss." Here's a short synopsis to get you guys hooked. ;)
He woke up in a strange place. A place that he didn't remember. Now he has the task of not only trying to restore his own memory, but also having to find and restore the memories of everyone he meets as well. Comment below if you guys want to read it when I'm complete! I'll post a chapter a week if I get more than 10 people interested. :)
I made cookies today!! IN OTHER NEWS: God has a plan for everything. I cannot find a job, I've been "bleh," and I feel useless to my friend. I have tried contacting other friends in the area and NO ONE has responded. I don't want to start back up where there were frayed ends after high school -- those people. . . I shouldn't contact them, let's just leave it at that. Sure my two best girl friends are around and they can talk, but one can't be around all the time and the other is the one I mentioned above where I feel useless to her. She has her own issues that I don't feel "qualified" to help with because of my own issues that I can't get over! But God has a plan. I don't know what that plan is and I don't know when He's going to reveal it to me, BUT HE HAS A PLAN. That's the only thing I can hold on to for a while. Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Well, it's summer break. GOOD. I need a break. The best summer-time snack (in my opinion of course) is popcorn and strawberries. :) You get the buttery, salty crunch of the popcorn. . . . . . And the sweet, juicy tang of the strawberries! They compliment each other perfectly. Perfect for any day during the summer, rain or shine! Today's reading: 1 Corinthians 10:31 Today's verse for me is 1 Corinthians 10:31 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God." We're supposed to do EVERYTHING to the glory of God. Not just church and praise and reading our Bibles, but eating, working, and school! He gives us an opportunity every day and many moments throughout the day to witness to people about Him. It's on our own that we pass up those opportunities when we should be living out that verse and taking those opportunities and turning them to God. Try just a day of Blessings. One day where you don't complain but you just count your blessings. Sure, you may not have much money and your family might be broken, but God gave you breath in your lungs today. He has given you safety, too. Good luck, my friends, and God bless! My friend and I play Minecraft often (yes, I'm aware that it's a younger game, but I honestly do enjoy mining without the risk of truly dying). Last night, we were looking for skins for our characters. I found the LAZAR guy in a suit for my character and my friend asked me to find one for him. Well, I did. I found Hermione Granger for him. He changed his skin then I threw a wooden stick at him to complete the look. As you can see to the left, he can really pull off that character. LOL Everyone hates food poisoning. And what happens to me today? Possible food poisoning. WOO. I missed half of my classes today because of it. Woke up to my first alarm and almost passed out. Woke up to my second alarm and almost "lost it" everywhere. Went to my first class and survived for the most part. Chapel? Fine, other than the pounding music making my migraine worse. Next class I sat in there for maybe five or ten minutes and finally I was told to just go back to my dorm and rest. Went to my sociology class and suffered horribly through my midterm, then came back here and slept again. DON'T GET FOOD POISONING. It makes EVERYTHING miserable.
M&Ms for Breakfast??Are you aware of how many flavors of M&Ms there are? There are the traditional milk chocolate and dark chocolate, but there are also peanut, peanut butter, crisped rice, mint chocolate, orange chocolate, almond, coconut, pretzel, wild cherry, cinnamon, and raspberry! Let's see now. . . I have had six of those flavors. I haven't even seen most of the other ones! Now, I don't know when advertising for M&Ms started, some time during the Spanish Civil War was when they were discovered and reinvented. But! I have one commercial that might be the first M&Ms commercial. It's definitely one of the first though! Isaac ShepardI really like piano music! (That might be because of my mother forcing me to practice all those years, though) But this is, in my opinion, the best pianist I have ever heard. His music is so gentle and pure, I can't help listening to it for hours when I hit play! Here is one of my favorite songs from Isaac Shepard. Pie and dancing. That's what life should be about. I had a lovely piece of lemon meringue pie today at lunch. It was light and fluffy! Which kind of surprised me because today it's VERY gloomy and humid out; meringue usually doesn't do well under those conditions. Every time I eat Lemon Meringue Pie, I can't help but think about my friend from home. A long time ago she acted out a story and there was a part that she had to "eat lemon meringue pie." Well, she was acting the story out and ate the pie then all of the sudden she stops and goes "LEMON MERINGUE PIE! Mmmmm!" What are friends for, if not for a laugh? My roommate and I were then discussing a movie we had seen last night. There was Salsa dancing in it! And I, being the weirdo I am, brought up the Merengue. A type of dance that technically falls into the category of Salsa. We talked about that for a little more and then found out that each of us has at least a bit of ballroom training! Fun stuff being here at school. Learning random things about roommates is always interesting. Now, who is ready for the Super Bowl today? I am! And I'm pretty sure I'm the ONLY student on campus who is for the Seahawks (Woot woot!). I've just been a fan of them since around sixth grade... nothing big honest! I don't even *really* follow football. BUT WHEN I DO, it's either the Eagles or the Seahawks. This of course makes me VERY popular with everyone. Well here is my shout out to Number 8, Matt Hasselbeck! Good luck out there everyone! |
